Wiper scratch help

Post by theshot »

Hi all,

This is my first post, but I've read a lot regarding the forum and it has been a great help. I have a question regarding my wife's car. She let her blades go and didn't tell me. The metal from the passenger whipper blade scratched the windshield all the way up. Lucky, the scratch does not catch my nail, and doesn't look deep but is very noticeable.

I wanted your guys opinion on repair. I did see the CO1PH1CB BUFFING COMPOUND & POLISHING HEAD COMBO on the site here, and was considering the purchase. Being objective, do you think it will take care of my issue? I did see some other scratch kits that involved 3 different sanding disks, and with my limited knowledge, wasn't sure if the delta product combo would fix my issue, or should I be looking more toward a sanding application. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Well I'm not objective but I did own a glass shop and that is how I removed scratches for years. There are other systems out there that will take out deeper scratches, but for most wiper scrapes the products you asked about will work quite well. If you want to give us a call and describe the scratch in detail we can give you a better idea of if it will work in your particular situation.
