Offer and Acceptance rates

Post by CV Windshield Repair »

Since most of sgc network jobs have gone to a flat rate (example $65.00 for 1 $0.00 for any extra) how do you guys handle this situation?

We have been that way over here for a long time with some insurers, I would have thought the same as us you judge each job on its own. Those that are not financialy viable to pass on for replacement. Personaly although I try and upsell as much as possible I do not find it takes much longer to do 2 repairs or 1 in the same screen, I would however pass on the job if it was 5 or 6 maybe unless I had nothing else to do.

We have, with some insurance companies, the same problem. We are discussing this situation with our customer, and just ask them to pay the balance.
It may surprise you, but this is never a problem, we always get our money. It goes without saying that you need to do this cash, to produce an invoice will only cost extra time, energy and money, but also; it will lead to a delay!

I actually encountered this issue today when I called a job in. I told the agent the location of two star breaks that needed to be repaired. She informed me that they would only be willing to pay $65 for both repairs so I said fine and repaired the customer’s vehicle, and 30 minutes later the customer referred his friend to me. I repaired one combination and star break on his windshield and restored his headlights. Honestly, I do not worry about the money because if you are performing quality repairs customers will go out of their way to recommend you and your services.

I agree with Korey, I just fix everything on the windshield in hopes it will pay off with future referrals. In addition, what about those times when you only have one repair and the flat is higher than you would normally charge for just one.....bonus!
