Hello.
while cleaning the roof of my brand new car with a pressure washer, I damaged the molding (gasket) that is at the hinge between the roof and the windshield. It is not destroyed, but there are two little holes.
I went to see a shop specialized in replacing broken windshield and he told me that you have to remove the windshield (for my car at least) to replace the gasket. He cannot guarantee that the windshield does not get broken in the process.
So, plan B is to fix it. Any idea of how patching these tiny holes? I was thinking using RTV black silicone glue, but I welcome any other suggestions.
Thanks and cheers to all.

Silicone and windshield urethane Do Not mix."Silicone glue" will attack urethane, eventually causing leaks and other problems.

No reputable auto glass replacement company would attempt to pull that windshield and reinstall it. That is a big no no. Either leave it alone or spend the money to replace the windshield the correct way. The tech is correct about getting the molding on...it would be basically impossible if the windshield is still in the car.
