First insurance claim
Ok im still waiting on my Lynx/SGC network approval. well today i run across my first wanna "bill to my insurance" customer, she has Alfa insurance and informs me that they have paid for her repairs in the past. So i set it up to do it at her job on monday, but im not totally sure how to do it. I know i will have to call it in with her isurance card and the number on the back of the card to get it approved, but what then ? She has 3 chips 1 star and 2 bat wings around on the passenger side of the car so well out of the rolags reapir zone. So do they send me a claim # to add to my invoice then mail or fax it to them?

Re: First insurance claim
You could do it that way. You will have to talk to the network that the insurance company uses, they will often give that number to you. just explain to them who you are and what you are doing. the customer has the right to choose who they would like to do the repair. they will check to see if the customer approves and if they are interested....then give you an authorization number. its that easy. good luck
Re: First insurance claim
By "Alfa" I assume you mean Alfa Vision. I have done a couple of Alfa Visions, and I have never been paid by the insurance company. Every time, the customer could barely speak broken English, and the insurance company sent me in an endless loop of phone calls. If you figure out how to get paid by them, please update your post here.

Don't blame the customer, seems like they fulfilled the obligation being an insured driver.
Just another reason to go for cash. Keep it simple!

What i've done in the past is charge the customer out of pocket and provide them a receipt then they fax that into there insurer and get reimburst.
