Just wonder if it makes a diffrents praticing on a upright windshield than a windshield that is flat on a table?
Seems to me on a flat table there wont be a way for the air to by pass the resin in the injector correct me if im wrong.
I have done a few good ones but then most still have the cracks showing very light crack lines.

Why on earth would you want to practice on a windshield which is lying flat on the table?
Set it up so it resembles the angle of a windshield on a real vehicle on a real repair job. ( use a chair)
Repairing cracks will not make them disappear. It makes them less visible and prevents the damage from cracking out further.

The reason im asking is a WSR guy was teaching me about few weeks ago he has been doing WSR for more than 20 years and he used a table the windshield was flat on a stand which you can use a mirrow under the glass to watch the chip as you repair it.
As i have been doing the repairs as practice they have turn out great while he was teaching me and he has said that i have all the basic tools and doing great for what he has seen but then i rather to do the best as i can before i head out and do someones windshield than not doing a good job.
My moto has always been to do my best and be honest and know what the heck im doing.
The fact is i do think practicing flat is not the way to do cause im thinking that the air in the chip will not by pass the resin if i try to do a vac as i turn the injector pluger counter clock or release the pluger back some.

I would suggest get some real training if possible, if not get the screen upright and with some practises completely vertical. Also make the damage soaking wet before you start the repair, as a lot of your damages will require drying out in real life.

Try to replicate the reality of WSR. If you have a local breakers yard there might be an opportunity to repair glass on scrap vehicles, which will get you used to dealing with problems of glass and climate conditions without having the pressure of a customer watching you.
