door hanger flyers
door hanger flyers
Are any of you guys using door hanger flyers, and if so do you list your cash price on them? What do you charge?
Re: door hanger flyers
I doubt if anyone is using these because the return ratio is so low that it's not worth your time and expense. I assume you mean just leaving a flyer on people's doors without any personal contact?
Door to door is highly productive if approached logically and professionally. In a post on the Business Development section of this forum, I discuss this in more detail.
I never just leave a flyer. Only after introducing myself and showing that we're an established, reputable business do I say, "I'll be happy to inspect your windshield for you!"
Door to door cold calling, IMO, should always be carried out in a positive NO PRESSURE fashion but with the clear objective to educate and inform.

Re: door hanger flyers
I dont do hangers but do pass out Buisness cards
I have started doing a great deal of Cold Calling about 80% of my buisness when I am in a area I have a nice Buisness card with a before and after pic on it that I leave on cars with chips ones where i cant find the owner.
You have to create a sense of urgency or they just throw it out or put it away somewhere and forget to call.
I do a couple things to get them to call right away and in doing so have increased my responses in a huge way. I will write a small hand writen note on the back of the card I use several different messages here are a couple
1. I am working next door tomorrow can fix your chip for $45 while here normaly $65
2. I was working here and noticed you are one big pothole from losing your windshield will be here tomorrow and can fix it then. Call me
3. Fix your chip now! $45 Am in the area all day tomorrow Call Me!
I tend to get a 1 in 25 response and it gives me a place to start the next day I only work a few hours a day and then will scout the area I plan on working the next day.
I put out a bunch of cards in the bigger lots etc where it is harder to find the owners and leave the other till the next day for cold calling again i tend to get a job or two to start the day

You must go through a lot of cards and pens just for 1 or 2 repairs. Do you get writers cramps from all the notes on the back of the cards?
That would be a waste of my time and money to me...

Putting cards on someones car window wont really work for me, I live in Seattle and it tends to rain a lot, I dont want to make a mess on someones car. I just figured putting door flyers on peoples door would be a better route. I know personally I always look and save the flyers from different companys that put them on my door.
I'm just looking at a way to start, and pick up business that will last....I figured I would charge $49.99 for the first repair and $10 for additional. I am now thinking maybe $39.99 would be better. $49.99 just seems to exspensive to me.
Also does anybody use programs on your phone to charge credit cards? I have one of these programs but just want to know if there effective on people.
Thanks

You have gone to all the effort and expense of driving to an area walked the lot and found potential repairs and spending a second putting a card under the windshield wiper or in the door is too much? Sounds like walking past dollars to pick up pennies to me. (Cards are cheap $40 per 1000 the cost of one repair) I have learned to maximize my time and make the most I can while doing it Im at work about 11 am and on the road going home by 4 If you listen and learn from thoise who know you might be able to do the same.just chippen away wrote:Glassstarz
