Hi all
I am thinking of starting my own WSR business for the summer (full time student). Im just wondering if there is a market for WSR in my area or if it is all readdy over saturated. The city i live in has a population of 1million. there are 2 other big mobile tent setup's in the city and combined they have about 30 locations. there are also numurous autoglass stores throughout the city. as well as one guy offering to come top your house. im just wondering is it worth gettign into alone or should i try and get with a established company. one of the big "2" is looking to almost double in size overe the next few years and the other is slowly shrinking. is it worth the approx $800 to start up.
I live in Calgary Alberta if that matters
Starting out-maybe
Re: Starting out-maybe
Well what to say.
Business is Business.
I am new to WSR. I have a handyman business, and a truck, website and a customer base to work with. But setting that aside. I was piecing together my tools. I bought the bridge, and all the stuff. went to the pawn shop and get me a great little dremmel. But then, I was on Craigslist list. and saw a delta kit all most new, for 600.00. So like a idiot, now I have double of everything now.
Bear in mind I just have spent $900.00 to start this venture. Well back to the Craigslist story. The guy was saying he wanted to sell his kit, because he was a worker and not a owner. in other words, he really did not have the energy, to run a business. look for leads, insurance filings etc.
So the question is? are you a worker or a owner, willing to spend the money, sit on a corner, or buy 3000 business cards and spend weeks going to parking lots, looking at chipped windows. and if and when you break a customers window, are you willing to pay for it. (from what I have read, thats open for discussion on this board.)
I myself, dont know if I will break even on my kit. I hope so..but I am willing to bite the bullet. But if you can work for somebody, and get the experience
then goto work for yourself. that may be the way...
Well good luck
