Do you support the NWRA?
Please choose the answer that best matches your feelings about the NWRA. Please feel free to expound on your answer in a post of your own. Be sure to include any reasons why you either support or do not support the NWRA, and what actions the NWRA could take to get you to join or renew your membership. Please be specific.

Re: Do you support the NWRA?
I think trade associations are great....just not in our industry. I am not a member of NWRA but if they started providing a better reason to join I would be all over it. I am a member of SEMA from a previous life and that is what you call a trade association.

Re: Do you support the NWRA?
Thought about joining a few years back, but never did. I joined the NGA instead, and honestly I think it was a waste of $300!
The only benefit I got out of the NGA was reduced shipping fees from fedex......
I think for some Companies, they believe in the NWRA and support them, they may not always agree with them, but still support them, with the hopes of someday the NWRA making things happen/change in the Repair Industry.
It's kind of like the person that donates weekly, monthly, annually (whichever) to Cancer Research or something like that, someday you only hope that something will happen, and you support it....
I have not completely given up on the idea of joining, but I haven't done it yet.........maybe someday!

Re: Do you support the NWRA?
I am on the fence here. Since I am pretty new I am not sure what all these "issues" are that everyone says we face. I guess ignorance is bliss. I need the option of" No, I am not a current member but MAY join in the future if the NWRA can show me reasons why I should."

Re: Do you support the NWRA?
Hey guys, I really screwed up. I thought Roo had a very valid point about adding another question but when I tried to do so the results of the poll were reset to zero. Poll results cannot be manipulated by the moderator, which is normally a good thing, but in this case means we have to start over.
From the original poll results it would appear that most windshield repair technicians, or at least those who visit this forum and took time to cast their vote on this poll, don't support the NWRA, but after reading Roo's post it occurred to me that we did not have an option for those who don't know what the NWRA has done, or is doing. Hopefully the new poll will indicate if the problem many technicians have with the NWRA is about the lack of action, or if it is actually more about a lack of communication.
Keep in mind no one can see your vote, including moderators of this forum, and as I found out today there is no way for anyone to manipulate the results.
Here were the results before the poll was reset.
Q1 0
Q2 2
Q3 4
Q4 5
Q5 1
Q6 Was not part of the original poll.
I really think this poll was one that the NWRA board of directors needs to see, so please submit your vote again.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Do you support the NWRA?
Obviously not everyone who voted in the first poll voted in the new poll with the additional question, which is a little disappointing, but it is interesting to see how the extra question changed the the dynamic of the poll. I don't know that there are enough votes to make any kind of an accurate assessment, but it does appear that some technicians want to be convinced of the value of being a NWRA member. That is a different result than in the 1st poll when it appeared that technicians were convinced there was no value to being a NWRA member.
If you have not voted please do so, especially if you voted in the 1st poll.
If you have not voted please do so, especially if you voted in the 1st poll.
