I did it!

Post by GLASSTIME »

Finally ordered my Delta Kits HLR Kit!

I had recently just ordered the Metabo from Korey and really enjoy it.

As you may or may not know I have always offered HLR to our customers and in fact have been offering it since 2001. Been doing it since 1999 as I was first introduced to it at a dealership I worked for. The way I was taught to do it is the same way I have always done it, which is using a 2 part automotive clear and a mini spray gun.

I would have to always masks everything off, pop the hood and cover the WS to be sure not to get any clear on the vehicle. This played hard especially when it was windy out. Even under a canopy with walls the clear sometimes seemed to travel in unexpected places.

I am very excited to not have to tape off all the fenders and WS.

I once tried a wipe on HLR Kit that a up coming vendor several years back left with me. I will say it dramatically changed the lenses. However you applied it with a FOAM BRUSH and you would get brush stroke lines regardless of how light you applied it or how little you applied. Another thing is that after about 6 months it would begin fading or peeling. This set true when I seen my mother in laws HL which I have still not redone. Shame on me!!

Thanks Korey Can't wait to get it Monday! I know I will be callking with some ????'s

In the southern states (which I see you are from) you will notice some degradation in what ever product you use to restore a headlight. You can expect 12-18 months before you see some deterioration in your work.

Good luck and you purchased a good product.
