Re: Checking for Moisture
Thanks for the video. I've read a lot about the moister evaporator and heat exchanger; however, I really had no idea how they really worked.
Prior to seeing this video, I would've thought that applying such intense heat to a break would've have been a NO! NO!

Re: Checking for Moisture
You do need to warm the area before using the moisture evaporator if the glass is cold. Other than that it is a very straight forward process. Screenman mentioned that we should have shown that it is best to clean the break first, removing debris and loose glass. We were focusing on how the moisture evaporator and heat exchanger work rather than the entire process of pre-warming and cleaning but he is right about that!

Re: Checking for Moisture
I hear a lot of people say it's 90 plus degrees outside and it hasn't rained for days, so why check for moisture on every break. The answer is simple for me and this is what I tell my employees.
1. It's in your job description so do it for find another job
2. We do windshield repairs in accordance to the ROLAG Standard
3. It only takes about 1 minute to check for moisture and remove it if it's present
4. You never know the last time the customer washed their car
5. What is the definition of humidity?
The video is very helpful and it explains it all.
