Quick Fixx or A.C.T
Quick Fixx or A.C.T
I know a few techs are using these companies. Has anyone used both? If so which do you prefer and why? I just spoke with Quick Fixx they told me they send out refferals, on average how many refferals do you guys get from this company? When I spoke with A.C.T they didn't mention the refferals but in a earlier post someone said they got their 1st refferal after dropping them what have you experienced?
Thanks
Thanks

I spoke to a representative at Quick Fixx about a week ago. You have to agree to a 5 year committment contract. Their contract protects them not you. They can "quite you" at anytime. You however, are bound to be faithful, to fulfill your committment them. After reading through their website, I believe the contract also requires you to purchase their equipment. However the representative did not mention anything about purchasing equipment from them.
If they did not bound you to a contract for 5 years it would be worth pursuing.
You should contact the people that now work under Quick fixx's umbrella. They are all listed on the Quick Fixx website.
Good Luck!

rlb man I do not think you have any idea what you are talking about.. you do not commit to a 5 year contract and you do not have to purchase supplies from them.. you can get set up with them and ready to work within 5 days if you want to and it does not cost you a thing.. they take out $10 for every invoice and pay every week.. they also handel all the back office work for you they do everything for your.. they will also handel all the insurance side of things with your customers if you would like them to so all you have to do is focus on the repair.. they provide you with every bit of paper work you need to be a succesful buisness they give you absolutly everything you need.. So next time before you post please be educated about the topic.. and yes quick fix gives out tons of referals.. I have alot of big name companys within miles of me and I still get atleast one referal a day.rlb wrote:I spoke to a representative at Quick Fixx about a week ago. I have only been with them going on my second month now and have only gotten two referals so far. They never said anything about buying their equipment in fact, I told them that I was DeltaKits trained with Delta's equipment & they seemed very pleased with that. No 5 year contract was mentioned and for the two times I have worked with them, they made the journey very pleasant and very user friendly.
They text me any job referals they have and I text them back excepting the referal. Once the job is completed you fill everything out online and wait to get paid, it's that easy. I actually look forward to their referals.

Can I ask why you all are using companies that take so much money out of you pay? Also I have been reading that they do not seem to be giving a lot of referrals.... Seems like you are giving a lot to them and you are not really getting a lot from them...
I am not trying to be negative I hope...

I'm not sure what you consider to be a lot as far as how much they take... it usually costs $10 per referral and no other hidden fees. From what I understand, this is the going average for networking referral services - I could be wrong. I am not with any other service so I really don't know. As far as how many referrals I get... yeah, that's the sad part. As I mentioned earlier, I have gotten 2 referrals in 2 months and even though that doesn't pay for squat, it would be nice to get a whole lot more.
My main services is high-end vehicle detailing so when QuickFixx contacted me, I welcomed the extra (unmentionable 2 referrals) work. They did mention that more work will be coming my way so I'm guessing it is a matter of growth within my immediate area. From what I have heard about other networks I am not really looking to spend lengthy times on the phone trying to get policy holder's information just to complete a windshield nor going through complex loop-holes in order to get paid. QuickFixx doesn't seem to have any difficulties (other than lack of referrals) when it comes to red tape.
If QuickFixx were to pick up the pace with referrals than I would think that they would be an ideal source. I am guessing that QuickFixx is relatively new within parts of the country so, with that in mind it is going to take some time to get established which means I will grow when they grow. It is a good thing that I don't solely depend on windshield repair or else I would be dead from starvation... it is a nice add-on though.

JCA, for some of us, it's beneficial to "outsource" these services. I use ACT and the cost is justifiable with my business plan.
That said, I contacted QuickFixx a few months ago to see what they had to offer and the overall difference is $3.00 per claim.
I was taken in by their claim that they would provide all these referrals. I specifically asked what I could expect in volume for a city the size of Denver, (2 million pop) and their answer was totally vague and noncommittal. In short, they couldn't even give me an estimate,
Any one of us would be drawn in by the claim that a service would in fact, send you a lot of new business at a nominal cost. IMO, their case is seriously overstated. I could be wrong, but, I was not able to find out any history or company information and ended up "just not comfortable" with the idea of switching from ACT.
Quickfixx could disappear as fast as they popped up and you wouldn't have any idea who they are.
ACT and Liquid Resins have been around a long time, I've had a long standing relationship with them using their tools, supplies, and ACT services and they'll be around for a long time.
Also, their version of "rapid pay" is payouts twice a month while ACT's is twice a week.

Re: Quick Fixx or A.C.T
Thanks for the input I've decided to get set-up with A.C.T because you can cancel the contract and are not bound to a 5 yr commitment and the fees seem reasonable. I already know how to handle a claim w/ the insurance so it comes out cheaper than some other companies i was looking into. The refferals would be nice but i'll treat them like a instant lottery ticket and be happy if they come at all, I wasn't planning on relying on them in the first place. Thanks Again

Our Glass I do not like the tone of your response. Did you read the contract? Probably not! So let me educate you. Yes, the ISO is bound by a 5 year agreement and only Quick Fixx can terminate the agreement. Today after speaking with a representative at Quick Fixx I was informed that they would release the ISO from the contract if the ISO wanted to terminate the agreement. However, the contract does not give the ISO the immediate right to terminate the agreement without liability. If you operate your business on a wink and nod, great for you, but I'll pass.
Lastly, I was given the wrong contract link by a representative at Quick Fixx. Our Glass you are 100% correct to a certain degree as it relates to purchasing products from Quick Fixx. They have 2 programs. Established windshield repair companies do not have to purchase their equipment. Individuals that are new to the industry are encouraged to purchase from them.

Re: Quick Fixx or A.C.T
From everything I've read so far, it appears Quick Fixx sends more referrals to some areas but not so much in others. I guess if your brand new to this business, Act or Quick Fixx may be your only options because it's not always easy to be approved on the networks upon start-up. Now if your already an approved network repair vendor, I can't imagine why you would contract with them and pay $10 for every insurance job. Safelite and Harmon both offer free online billing. Lynx is a different story (with the exception of Gerber...they charge nothing to fax bill)
Maybe I'm missing something. If so please inform me.
