GlassComp Website
Just want to get some opinions on the new GlassComp website and the GlassComp Web Alliance Membership. You can get on the site and join as a demo member but that expires May 1. There originally was a $50 per month fee but that has been lowered to $35. I have yet to question them on that fee or what I would get in return as I wanted to get some thoughts here first. It contains a forum for independent glass shops like you and I, but I just don't see what major purpose it serves (not for $35 a month). The GlassComp EDI billing can be handled through this site or the old way.

Re: GlassComp Website
Dave,
I think you answered you own question on the membership... I received the fax a while back and thought the info they would give us would be the same as we can get from Glassbytes or any other organization...
To me it is just another way for someone to make money from us...
Glasscomp has been in the stone ages for years on so many things, maybe they have opened their eyes and saw a new world out there.."cyberspace" and may think we are not up to speed either...
I use them for my Lynx processing
Remember all invoices and payment for services are still ancient... Fax for invoices and snail mail sending them there payment for services...
They even sent out a paper stub asking if we want to pay our bills by C/C or by mail..... They said the majority said they would like to pay by mail... NOT ME.. I only have checks because of them and one other older than rock company.... I do 99.99999999999999999999999 % of my bills and purchased by C/C
Is the EDI billing a free service or part of the 35. fee? I will have to look at that part.
I will pass till they can prove them selves on the fee being charged.
Sorry, I can't keep anything short and to the point...
