Just was wondering if anyone knows about a company for credit cards. I was given this lead my a manufacturer of kits, who claims he uses a company callled Square up, to process their cards. No monthy, set up, minimums or anything with this company. They take 2.7% of the transaction and that is all.
However, I have been reading that they are very slow to pay up, after you charge. Does anyone on this forum use them? If so, how has it worked out for you? There is also Intuit, which has the same program, so I have signed up for both of them. The Square Up is really cool though because it tracks GPS wise, right where the repair took place, and you can also attach a photo of the repair to the receipt that is emailed to your customer. I think this would really help in the event of any disputes. By the way, these processes are done with your smartphone, android or i-phone. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
BTW...Intuit also does the GPS location thing if you have location services turned on in your iphone. Don't know about the photo but it let me load my logo to print out on emailed receipts.

Yep, I knew they did that with Intuit as well. Just found that out. And yes I loaded up my logo too. Just got the card reader from Square up, and the thing don't fit my headphone jack on my phone. It is too big. Or my headphone jack on my phone is to small. However you look at it. Strange because my phone is brand new, and top of the line, with GPS built in....????

That is funny, because when I type in Credit Card or Credit Card processing, my post is the only thing that comes up. I checked first before I made my post and question.

I don't do credit cards. I am one of the guys who "hit fleets, pound the beat, put up a tent and walk parking lots looking for damaged windows.....
We never use to accept credit cards because of the fees associated with accepting them. I saw a thread on this forum about Square Up and have never looked back. The company has never taken over three business days to deposit in our account, of course holiday and weekend transactions might add to the wait time, and so far, they only charge 2.75% per transaction. Usually when it's too good to be true, it is, but in the case of Square Up, they deliever what they advertise.

Good Luck,

Karl,
Thank you ever so graciously for giving me an answer......a real answer. It is greatly appreciated. That eases some of my concerns...Intuit is the same program, but they are at 2.7%. But it looks like unless I buy another $500 phone, I will be manually keying them in. I think that is like at 3.5%. I guess no big deal. We aim to please the public right?
