Quick fix repairs?

Post by Brennan29 »

Anyone have any information on the company Quick Fix Repairs? They are looking for experienced repair techs in my area. Are they second to Safelile in insurance referrals? If so I could do pretty well with them! Just want to get anyones opintion who knows anything about the company. Thanks guys!

Just go to their website and locate a Quick Fixx operator 30 miles or more outside your area and call them for info. From what I've found out they bill through their name to insurance company's, pay you $40 or less for the repair and collect the rest.

As far as 2nd to Safelite with referrals, that statement would not be true. Lynx and Harmon would probably follow as 2nd and 3rd, with many others in the mix prior to Quick Fixx.

Where caution should be taken, do they want you to enter into a signed contract? (i.e..you get your own referral for a insurance repair that pays $65-$70 and they expect you to bill through them for only a $40 reimbursement)

I had 5 of them in my area 2 yrs ago and upon a recent check it's down to 3 (all under the name of one owner)

Best to call them with a full list of questions to ask. If they can't or refuse to answer all your questions...I would pass on this one. JMHO

Good Luck!

Thank you Very much for the reply! What they are offering to my is $40 per repair. Dont know about a contract yet.. Theres been no mention of it.. From what they say, my only competition in the area would be safelite. They're 2nd to safelife as far as referals, in this area that may or may not be true.. I want to enter into this with nithing to lose. My gear my car. They provide the work. When I work for safelite years ago there were days I had 10 to 15 jobs a day. If I can get half that through these guys on avarage that would be a good income to start! Again thanks for the reply!

If you get that many referrals move over I am on my way to the USA. I would take it all with a pinch of salt, most guys are getting very little in terms of work from any company, as far as I understand.

Brennan29,

What major City are you closest too? In my area if I Google "Quick Fixx" their website link doesn't even show up until the 13th page. Most internet shopping consumers don't research for service info past the 1st page! Where do you think all these "Quick Fixx" referrals would be coming from? (something you'll have to ask them)

When you worked for Safelite you received a high number of jobs daily simply because they are the call center for 9 out of top 11 largest auto insurance providers in the U.S. An insured (needing windshield services) will often call the claims number on back of their card 90% of the time which is always directed to Safelite. If consumer doesn't specify a particular shop they want to provide the work, Safelite will get it almost everytime.

Not trying to discourage you from entering this business, just providing information that may help you with future decisions.

I am near Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton Pa. The lehigh Valley. (where there is a Safelite location unfortunately).. This is what Im trying to figure out.. I did get alot of work from safelite but from what I understand safelite is starting to lose some insurance work because the quality of repairs has gone down hill. I really dont know.. It might be one of the things where I just have to try it and see where it takes me.. Is they anyway of finding out how many referals quick fixx is getting without actually going to work for them? If there is a way to find this out please let me know. And the web site is www.quickfixxrepairs.com
