Barrel pressure?

Post by Auto Glass Rescue »

How come with too much barrel tip pressure you’ll have problems filling all the legs? Is it the fact that the excessive pressure is actually pushing the legs close? I would really like to know the theory behind this one.

That's it exactly. The tighter the cracks the more difficult it is to get the resin to flow so only use enough barrel pressure (holding the seal to the glass) to keep the injector from leaking. Anything more will work against you.

Barrel pressure is how tight you screw the injector to the glass to get a seal, injector pressure is how far you push your piston down. At least that is what I think he intended to say. Too much barrel pressure will distort the glass, think of a cone with a top on it push it down tight and you can get nothing in between, lift it a little and there is space for anything to flow.
