new business opportunity!Advice anyone?

Post by grizz24 »

Recently, I have been fortunate enough to have been hired on full time working at a high production body shop and pitched them the idea of subletting my company out for glass repair and having their 5 on site insurance estimators up sell to their customers on a daily basis since I'm already there. . Im looking for the most hassle free setup for the estimators as far as after the customer is sold on the repair. I am planning on having them fill out the form and maybe attaching a brief flyer explaining how the easiest way to file the claim is. What do you think the easiest way for the customer to file a glass claim and having it assigned to my shop. I won't be with the customer during any of it and the estimators have a lot bigger things to worry about.
Thanks for any feedback.

If the job involves comp coverage i.e. theft, fire, vandalism or hitting a deer or other animal, the deductible will not be waived anyway so just include the repair cost in with the estimate. Make sure the customer knows so they can take it into consideration when comparing estimates with other companies.

If the customer wants a "free" repair, a separate claim should be made when the customer drops off the car so you can use the speaker phone or do a three way call to avoid any attempt to steal the job.

Have your estimaters notify you of any rock chips that they don't sell and maybe you can give it one more try.
