Well what can I say. We have a phenomenon in our midst. Without revealing figures. This guy has rewritten our companies record book, and all on his first day of trading. Lets put it this way. His first days earnings exceeded his first weeks target. Awesome! :D . Just keep the image right, good customer attitude and be focused, and do great work.

To resurrect the earlier topic, and answer desert stars questions. Is the UK, repair rich?. Everywheres repair rich, if you look in the right places and have the right attitude and approach.

UK insurance companies do cover work for their customers without deductible if the customer is comprehensively insured.

We dont have a claims network, although my company could from some angles be viewed as such, and the insurance companies definitely point customers towards the nationals who perform crap repairs 99% of the time.

Certification isn't a mandatory requirement although our company does provide it.

A good overview of the UK market would be that the insurance companies actively resist new operators, and constantly route their customers towards the nationals. Fortunately we have written agreements with nearly all of the insurance companies and are able to direct bill. Those new to the industry may have difficulty getting paid from some of the companies, and with 75% of car owners being comprehensively insured and getting their repairs "Free",the paying private market is quite small. Fleets and haulage firms on the other hand are still a great source of non insurance work.

Thanks for your reply to my questions, Eric.

W/S repair started with your cousins across the bounty and that being us Yanks.

You might closely watch the trends here. Perhaps a harbinger of what you can expect.

Do not allow the replacement industry to gain a toe-hold insofar as policy-making for repair business over there. They represent a vigorous camel's nose searching for a tent in that regard if I can be allowed to mix methaphors.

What's good for the goose in not always good for the gander.

When it comes down to bucks or pounds or euros, that's almost always a fact.
