I understand the battle of rain and snow- but look at the positives, windshield breaks tend to spread easier during the freeze/thaw cycles. Years ago I learned this the hard way when I brought my trucks frosted windshield into the garage for a quick thaw via a garden hose. It had a small break that filled with moisture and froze, when the warm water hit it the next thing I knew I had an unrepairable break. You might mention this concept to potential customers when canvasing parking lots " a la Coitster". It educates them to the urgency of the repair. I'm just starting my business, but have been brainstorming for some time on this subject. Also call on any fleet accounts that wash their vehicles on a regular basis year round. You've got to educate these guys and be on the spot to offer an immediate solution. As for the monthly wage, I know of a guy in a nearby city (pop. @30,000) that is raising 7 kids on WSR only. Keep reading and posting, that's what rainy days are for . I'd better quit talking about how great this Nebraska snowy weather is before I get all the Texas and Florida guys wanting to move up here. 8) Bob @ Paintless Plus
