Doing repairs on flat W/S
Good morning all. I have a question about doing repairs on School bus/Municipal buses. Is there a special way to set up the injector? Do I have to "over fill" the injector to keep air out of the repair? Thanks ahead for the answers.

Most of the repairs I do are on flat or vertical glass, I use the flip lever Delta bridge set at the required angle with no problems.

Use a bottom fill injector the dribble in the top ones make it very hard and waste buckets of resin

You might find that, but I know different. As you may know I have used both methods for many years, now it is only Delta.

There is a art to it and years of experience will make it easier to use your prefered tools. But you have to admit the verticle glass is easier with a lighter injector less prone to falling off and not needing to fill from the top and still get the resin not a air bubble to the break. at least for a guy without years of doing this
I find my way is quicker does a gret job and uses a lot les resin (no waste) but lets face it if you spend some time learning how to use your tools (all have thier goods and bads) you should be able to do verticle glass with whatever you equpment choice.

I would have thought the Delta flip lever aluminum bridge and aluminum injector that I use about the lightest on the market. My front loader was the Novus one and I have to say used more resin to get a decent pressure all the time, be it on vertical or not.
As you say practise and of course the correct training is what counts.

I have had injectors from several companies all do the job if you spend some time. But im a believer that you shouldnt have to jump through hoops to get the job done. I started doing a couple bus fleets several years ago and got tired of the constant drops off the windshield and working to get the resin into the injector without it dribbling out. I found one that is made of a lighter material and fills with something like a syringe. No waste no working to get the resin in. Doing this I found I could work several injectors at a time. Maximize the amount of repairs. This is how I can get so many done at a time. In the past several here have chosen to imply that you cant get that many done in a couple hours. Try a injector that you center on the glass vac then pressure and move to the next one while it works. set several more go back to the first one cycle if it looks filled uncover and let cure. Verticle Glass is easy with the right tools and yes you can get the job done with most but why do things the hard way??

I work 3 or 4 injectors at a time, which I consider gives them and me enough time to do that bit of the job before they need returning to. The New Delta bridge and the ally injector is easy to set at a nice angle on a vertical windshield which is why I get no dribble.
