Could someone please explain to me the entire side of doing insurance claims? I'm looking everywhere but I just end up trying to piece the puzzle together. I found a post that talked about Quick Fixx but it seemed like if you worked with their network you couldn't work with the other networks? Do these "networks" send you customers? And do you have to be loyal to just one network or can you sign up with all networks? If you sign up are you under some contractual agreement to do the job? And it seems like once I get my business together. I just sign up for ACT and then they sign up for the various networks so I don't have to worry about that part. Is this true? Also it seems very simple if you go through ACT so I don't see why people are so reluctant to do it. Sounds to me like you call them. Maybe take a few pictures. They charge you like 3 bucks or whatever. The rest is yours. I'd pay someone $3 to not have to deal with all the nonsense and still make a $47. I'm just saying.
Thanks for letting me ask newb questions!
Nick

Re: Insurance side explained
Please read through the post "NEED LIST OF NUMBERS FOR INSURANCE COMPANIES" which was on April 8, 2014. This lists pretty much every insurance network. I have never heard of Quick Fixx. You can sign up with every network out there, and there's no rule, as far as I know, that if you work with one, you can't work with the others. I don't use ACT. If you're a Delta Kits customer, just give them a call and they can set you up with a better deal for EDI (processing invoices to the TPAs/networks). Safelite and HSG don't charge for invoices. Lynx charges $7 I think, so that's the only one you'll need the EDI. Honestly, don't plan on networks being your bread and butter. You won't get any referrals from Safelite (they own Safelite Auto Glass, so guess who gets all of their referrals). HSG might send you some, but not enough to pay the bills. Getting signed up with the networks just makes it easier for billing purposes.
Good luck.

Re: Insurance side explained
For Lynx you will have to use a TPA. ACT is as low 2.95 and Delta is .99. The seven dollars is incorrect . Lynx is just about non existing since Allstate went to SGC.
