Another sleepless night

Why is it that some of these freakin glass shops have to keep belittling our Industry first I have the $9.95 repair king ](*,) now another this one being a National company sending out in a mailer a coupon for a free repair absolute no charge :^o just bring it in so we can bait and switch you errrr drives me nuts. :-&

I wonder what would happen if you walked into one of their shops with coupon in hand and a uninstalled shield containing at least ten repairable hits. You think they would honer that? Be interesting if they didn't because it might lead to a false advertising suit or a threat of one!

May sound a little crazy but I was forced into doing this to one of my competitor glass shops 5 years ago when they offered free repairs with no written disclaimers on their coupon. I sent one of my employees to their shop with his uninsured whoppy ride that needed 4 chip repairs. They refused repair. Needless to say, after calling the owner and threatning legal action he changed his coupon adds the following month.

I don't know about your local TV stations, but wherever I have lived, the local TV stations have all had some sort of an investigative "consumer beware" segment.

Maybe "dropping a dime" to an investigative reporter might help?
