question about drilling
Hi, I was reading posts on here. I am very new to the chip repair business. I read on the post regarding inside chip. I believe one person was asking questions about where drilling was done. My question is then if you are going to drill something like a bullseye or some other sort of chip where do you drill it? In the post it says you do not drill in the center. I also read on the chain on inside chip about frosting or some difficulty filling a chip. Is it possible the person did not drill deep enough?

Re: question about drilling
1) No need to drill a bullseye.
2) If using a Delta Kits windshield repair system you will rarely need to drill a star break or any other type of break except for a long crack or if there is no impact point giving access.
3) Other than a crack, if you have to drill a break with no impact point (rare), drill in the center of the largest air space.
4) Other than a crack, if there is an impact point but you cannot get the damage to fill any other way (very rare), drill at the impact point.
5) Long cracks should be drilled at one end if the other end is terminated by the impact point or glass edge, and both ends if neither end is terminated.
I'm not sure I understand your question about the inside chip or the frosting. Are you talking about a chip on the inside of the vehicle that only effects the inside layer of glass?
