How many techs who either lurk or actively contribute to this board are willing to send five or ten bucks to help defray the personal costs of those NWRA members who will again be flying to Connecticut to fight off the bad guys for us?
I am one.
Are there others?
The fact that many of us are not YET willing to commit to membership shouldn't stop us from at least contributing to a good cause.
Let's step up to the batter's box on this one, fellow techs.

Thank you Coitster.
I see 25 readings of this post and one lousy commitment so far.
(Not to suggest you are lousy, David but not to discount the possibility.}
I realize many of our active compatriots have not yet seen my request.
I expect and I know many more people will contribute toward this endeavor and I hope enough do to at least cover the personal costs of those people who intend to fight OUR battle for YOU amd ME in Connecticut.
We are not talking about next year or even next month that they will need our input and support. We are talking this month.
Barring political game-playing and typical good-old-boy politics. (Check out the latest NWRA letter to the Connecticut board.)
This is the ground between proaction, reaction and inaction.
It's called action.
It's called kicking butt.
Who else wants to stand on their hind legs and help the only representative of our industry we have at present and nevermind networks and steering and insurance companies and bait and switch for now?
Who else wants to pick up an instrument and play as a part of the band rather than just listening?
And, Delta.
Give us an address to send the checks to and who and what particular entity in the NWRA to make sure that it ends up specifically as we intend it
to.
And, lurkers.
I understand where you are coming from because I lurked long before I decided to contribute my asinine opinions and inject controversy to this forum.
But.
Now's the time to contribute toward protecting our business with a check even if you decide not to publicly shotgun opinions or advice into the forum itself.
LET US HELP THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO HELP OUR INDUSTRY!

History of Windshield Repair?
For many reasons, it's kind of like pissing in the wind!
Desertstars,
Not sure by giving NWRA $5-10 dollars to help fight one battle will do much towards our future interest. Think about it? You walk into a restauruant run up a $100 tab and leave a fiver on the table. You think your next visit to this place will be honered or remembered by anybody? I doubt it! Same goes with the NWRA, I'm sure they'll except your generious donation but will it really help change anything in your favor? I doubt it!!! If you want to be cheap.....your rewards will be few. Coister, I'm actually surprized by your input. Your bread and butter is soley decided by how the insurance companies operate and control repair. Is it not in your best future interest to invest in an organization fighting for these issues? When I see you boasting about $500 afternoons.....Isn't a $99 membership fee to become a voting voice a small price to pay?
This organization needs a total commitment by us to succeed. Without our total commitment they will most definately fail in their endeavors! Then what? We'll all suffer and the big glass companies will be victorious and decide our fate. Is that what you guys want?
Personally, I can make money nomatter what the outcome is. Because I do both glass repair and replacement. I'll just ride the fence. My preference is repair though! Which I'm sure is most of yours. I've already made my choice to join because I believe in the future it will lead us into having our own repair only organization someday. For now though, I think we need to start somewhere just to get our foot in the door. Don't you think?
Your comments on this will always be gracefully accepted.
Everybody enjoy your weekend!!!!
