Does this preclude any further trips to CT by the NWRA or is the Commissioner open-minded enough to listen to the opposition to this burlesque measure?

If someone knows the answer, I'd appreciate hearing it before I send a contribution for a trip that might not take place.

I dont know much about this but what kind of license will we need, pay a fee ?, certification of some kind ?, take a test ? All I know from dealing with DCA, covered by the Florida dept of agriculture around here is that they wanted money. The only input from them was the wording on our invoices in respect to quoted prices and what is actually charged.

This specifically deals with Connecticut, CPR, and appears to be the death knoll for the recent attempts by the NWRA to head that mule off at the pass in CT unless the Commissioner is less corrupt than the board.

Not that the NWRA didn't make a valient attempt to hobble the mule.

The prior meeting almost came to fist fights because of the fact that members of that board have the interests of the replacement industry first and foremost in mind.

Really.

It's well-known that the last meeting of that laughable and so-called objective CT board almost came to blows because of the replacement people on the board who forced the resolution of the issue toward the Commissioner in spite of every logical argument against by the NWRA and repair techs who attended those meetings.

A decision was suspended because of that fact.

Afterall, that was the reason for the NWRA second trip.

And, that entire issue before the board ended today with a determination that the CT Commissioner will make the final determination as to resolvement as if I don't have the faintest idea what direction this will go.

In my opinion, the NWRA did as much to stop this as they could have done and as Delta has hammered on previously another reason to join and support the NWRA.

The Connecticut Auto Glass Board today unanimously voted to recommend the drafted license types for automotive glass work to the Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Protection.

The draft, as approved by the Board defines a Limited [Auto Glass] Repair Contractor as one who "may perform work only limited to repair damage of not more than 4 (four) repairs (on one windshield) outside the "acute area," which is defined as "within the area covered by the sweep of the drivers side wiper originally provided by the manufacturer or in the case of one original wiper provided by the manufacturer the driver side half of the windshield."" As the license stands, no repairs can be made within the acute area.

Regarding the repair itself, the following stipulations are also included in the recommendation:
