Just read an interesting article about OEM vs OEE Glass. I know there have been discussions on this board about distortions within OEM and OEE or ARG glass in the past and this article addresses some of those questions. http://techfeatured.com/automotive/1164 ... auto-glass

Interesting article Brent but a little misleading in some places. OEM manufacturers will produce the glass that goes into the car on the production line and they will also produce glass for the ARG market. During the inspection stage of manufacture they will make sure that the highest quality glass will be sent for the production line, any glass that is less perfect but is still within tolerances will be sent to the ARG market. Once the vehicle model ceases production the glass maker will still produce the glass on reducing runs until the demand for the glass makes it no longer financially viable to set up a production run.
