Emagdnim222,

You do not need liability insurance with ACT. I do, however, highly recommend getting it anyway.

Actually ACT will allow you to sign up and in order to have all the INS. companys on board you have to sign an Offer of acceptance and agreement with State Farm as part of the deal. If you wish to have their blessing they require proof of Insurance. When I did it they required 1,000,000.00 policy but I believe they have lowered the figure to 500,000.00 In that case you can aquire it for around 250.00 a year (RLI policy) depending on location. This insurance is only good for accidental damage to customers paint etc...
You may not operate customer vehicles or have coverage for say slip trip or fall situation for you. Etc.....
Hope that helps, Scott
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.
