Liability insurance
I am new to wsr and was just wondering does ACT require you to have liability insurance. I am planning on getting liability insurance reguardless, i was just wondering if it was required.

You do not need liability insurance with ACT. I do, however, highly recommend getting it anyway.

ok... yeah i still plan on getting it i was just making sure it was not a pre-requesite before i could sign up with ACT

Actually ACT will allow you to sign up and in order to have all the INS. companys on board you have to sign an Offer of acceptance and agreement with State Farm as part of the deal. If you wish to have their blessing they require proof of Insurance. When I did it they required 1,000,000.00 policy but I believe they have lowered the figure to 500,000.00 In that case you can aquire it for around 250.00 a year (RLI policy) depending on location. This insurance is only good for accidental damage to customers paint etc...
You may not operate customer vehicles or have coverage for say slip trip or fall situation for you. Etc.....
