Dude I work for me and no one else I am a firm believer in Karma if you can help another suceed in life with something as simple as a referall why wouldnt you? PMA is as important in sales as product sold someone who looks for reasons not to do something rather than reasons to do it destined to fail in life as well as business. Spend money to make money plain and simple

If I were one of your customers and you called me "dude" you could be assured of not getting my business. You might trying to use manners and respect when you speak to anyone.

What rock have you been hiding under for the last 20 yrs? Here how I see old DUDE who failed in the business and got out because he couldnt adapt to modern business practices (Mommy that evil Safelite bully beat me up at school today!) now sits in a parking lot and hopes someone will stumble in and this same guy espouses words of wisdom which really are advice on how to fail because lets face it thats what happened right? The guy who actually makes a better than average living gives advice and you have a problem with Dude?
Thats the problem with the internet just about any crackpot with a connection can come on and pretend to be someone who they are not me I just tell it like it is and give words of advice on how to succeed in this business based on my own success so Dude if your making 80-100k year working 25-30hrs a week I apologize if not sit down and listen and keep your mouth shut any questions?

Hey dave you are a perfect example of who thes guys should listen to when I first showed up here I read your advice about cold calling followed it and it worked I have since gone a different dirrection in marketing myself mainly because of environment and a small market (dont like walking around in 10 below zero 5 months a year LOL ) But thats just me I made a good consistant living doing cold calls and mainly because I chose the right guy to listen to YOU. Just with my 20 yrs experience in the Autosales business figured out how to make $ in the market I knew best and went in that dirrection "Worked for me" every market isnt the same and everyone experience isnt the same it just bugs the snot out of me when some guy shows up and steers these guys in the dirrection of failure because as you well know a great living can be made in this business but it just doesnt fall out of trees and land in your wallet.

Ok kids, lets review.I look at an online windshield repair forum about attracting customers(w/shield repair). It quickly gets steered to a discussion about the wonders of Paint Premier 2000 system.I ask a very simple question ,like why would I pay $6000 for their system?I get a pitch and even told that "hey I just happen to be comming to Alabama from Vermont 3 times this year and I would be glad to show you this system and even open up a couple of accounts for you because the Karma will be good!! I even get a backup pitch saying wow!! you should send them $6000.00 because after all they deserve to make a profit right? Then I am reading how "well he must be destined for failure in business and life because he doesnt see how great this system is??GEE.......... wheres Jim Jones? So next I get a phone call from the home office and they say I see you asked for information on our product(which I did on-line) and I also see you have been on the Delta Kits Forum !! Now how in the world would they know this without them being involved in the discussions on-line?? Cautious yep.Failure in business and life Nope. You figure it out..............................................................

You might be a little confused they are Delta dealers after all you dont think maybe they read the board? and no I dont work for them but have given them thousands of dollars happily I dont know if you now this but they got these big ole boats called cruise ships that port in Mobile now i have this 18 yr old son whos 92 yr old great grandmother lives there as well so we kill 2 birds with one stone if we cruise out of Mobile kid gets to see great granny who we cant count on being around for ever cause shes ancient I spend a couple days in the area killing time because shes the ex,s granny not mine and the beauty of being divorced is you dont have to hang out with thier family aymore so I offer to show a guy do what I do and somehow there is a evil intent? Dude lighten up there isnt some evil group out there stalking you for your money im sure i will find a dollar store down there to spend my time in and Bambi needs money for school so I will do my civic duty there instead (how come they are all named Bambi anyhow?)

LOL, Ok sorry If I sounded Parinoid??LOL ,its just that I just as you have been around the car business for alot of years and have seen many of the so called newest, only one like it ect.next big things that came through the lot on a weekly basis. Some were pretty good and thats where I got a taste of the W/shield repair business. For someone to do someone a good turn just for the sake of helping is a rare offer and from our universal background (automotive sales) I am sure you know where I am coming from. Its just that I come from Tech/Sales background (New-Used Car sales ,used car mgr / recon manager ) and have seen many different touch up systems. Most of the good ones were toner based systems where the paint is weighed by volume ,mixed on site and then airbrused-or touchup brushed and / or sprayed with HVLP gun on bumper cover repairs.Base coat /clear coat system .Now most all of the systems are water based due to EPA rules.I already have all of the equipment needed for this type system(bought out a recon dept 2 years ago) except for a toner system(standox I prefer)and I just cant see the value of spending $6000 for a basic toner system from PP2000 system when I could buy a toner set(standox) clears, reducer, paint thickeners ,microfiche set ect for approx $1500.00 and have a good stand alone system. Please tell me what I am missing here.
