UV cure light problem

Are you working indoors or at night? If not try the big ole yellow one in the sky having grown up in Santa Cruz and having been there in the last 3 weeks I can say you get more sun than is needed 300 plus days a year I live on the Canadian border and havnt brought out the light 5 times this year dont buy into the old sales pitch telling you the light somehow does a different job than the sun. Now if you were in the UK where its raining all the time maybe the light would have a use

I can tell you I have found a differance in the sun and my 9 watt UV light. The light does a better and faster job. I live in Arizona were the UV is strong.

As goes the light staying on the glass, Do you have a pin hole in the cup? if so use silocon to seal it. if not, use duct tape to help hold it in place. or another suction cup with a string that you can just put in anyplace and drop the string and tie the light to.

Why not rest the light on top of a large safe suction cup? Or buy a new and better lamp?

Ok guys; thank you all for your suggestions. I followed Nomad's advice:

"Try some hand lotion, even cheap stuff will work well to prevent suction cup coming loose, and will allow it to slide easier too."

Nevertheless I have plenty of sunlight while working I have the clients park their car in the shade of the trees on my lot.
After the bridge is removed and pit resin plus tab is added , I install the uv light.
While I write the invoice and collect my fee, the uv light cures the resin to a perfect hardnes.
Only thing to do is scrape off the cured resin , finish off with pit polish and the client is on his/her way.
For this reason I still have to put the uv light on the windshield , plus it adds to the total show .
No business like show business is my credo !

Cazador, whilst working on a damage do not assume the tree will block the UV it will not do so. I hope that you and others in this situation use some form of UV shield, to avoid premature curing. Even when you park in the shade there is indirect uv all around. Try the test I have wrote about many times. I agree with most people the lamp cures best.
