By publicly misstating basic fundamental concepts of windshield repair, opposing the very standard (ROLAGS) basics that he feigns support for, and is a board member of.
In addition, the lack of understanding of the basic workings of the Delta Kits system, combined with the willingness to go forward knowing that the results are potentially (benefit of the doubt, although I don't think it applies here) fundamentally flawed shows how desperate they are to knock down Delta Kits.
I suspect that anyone who watches that video with even a passing knowledge of Delta Kits or windshield repair in general will obviously be very suspicious of Boyle's motives.
Just the part where they talk about the seal they use. It's not a DKI seal, and from experience in all the different testing that went in to not only the shape but the density of the DKI seal, there's no way they get an accurate representation of the abilities of the equipment if using 3rd party pieces that do not fit!
Can you imagine if you or I had done this video and used our own seals on their bridge?
As if it needs to be said, Glass Mechanix obviously takes exception to this type of behavior and we will do anything we can to make sure deceptive advertising of this kind does not take hold between manufacturers.
(side note)Why do I suddenly feel like one of Mafia family heads from the Godfather movie? DKI is the competition, we can't be consorting with the enemy!
