I did get alot of work from safelite but from what I understand safelite is starting to lose some insurance work because the quality of repairs has gone down hill. I really dont know.. It might be one of the things where I just have to try it and see where it takes me.. Is they anyway of finding out how many referals quick fixx is getting without actually going to work for them? If there is a way to find this out please let me know. And the web site is http://www.quickfixxrepairs.com
Brennan29,

It actually took me less than 30 seconds to find 4 Quick Fixx operations in that area. Quick Fixx is (lock and loaded) for PA area showing many locations. Just be smart by asking them the right questions before you commit.

After thinking deeper into this, I doubt that Quick Fixx will provide you with any useful information. Your a part of the east coast that seems to be very saturated by them. Why they stated your area is wide open and 2nd to Safelite in referrals...is beyond my understanding. My short research says other.

I would start by calling every Quick Fixx in your surrounding area. Some will talk and others will not. Something you'll have to do though, before you commit. Welcome to the windshield repair business!

Well Quick Fixx actually has 1 tech in Allentown and it looks to me like he covers both Allentown and the Herford area which is about a half hr south of Allentown. There is one in Lansdale which is over and hr south of Allentow the the rest are in north jersey but traval out this way to cover the area. So there arent really 4 in my area but its also safe to assume they have the area coverd pretty well, especially if there arent a ton of referals/work coming at them. I did call a few techs a good ways out side my area tonight and I got mixed feelings.. It seems most of them are expected to drive sometimes 60 miles to do one repair and it just isnt worth it.. Two of them have SuperGlass franchises and the referals they get from Quck Fixx are few and far in between and again 60 miles away. But, One of them did say he does know other techs and has spoke to people that get quite a few jobs through quick fixx. So I think its safe to say it all depends on what area your in and maybe even how lucky you are. Worth looking into any farther at this point..? Yes, Im not going to throw in the towel yet. But I am open to other suggestions ;) Thanks for the replies guys!

Brennan29,

Your doing everything right. Just have to remember 40% of doing windshield repair is technical, while 60% is business. I think your on the right track!

Good luck to you!

Well tonight I had a 2 hour conversion with a person who owns a company(in which I never got the name) that was trying to get me to work the lehigh valley area of Pa. The deal was, I had to buy into the company, they provide training(which I dont need) and provide you with they kit. You have too use theyre equitment and can NOT except referals from any other company/network. Smell something fishy...? I did after about 20 mins.. You are basicly locked into a year long agreement where if you decide not to work for them anymore you owe them $1200 for training(which I dont need) and they're kit(which Im not sure im even going to like).. With no guarentte of work.. Plus its a 70/30 split 30% is theres for resin, uniforms and so called marketing.. Thats $28 a repair!!! Its my responsibility to build my location. Are you kidding me? Who in they're right mind would sign on for something like this. Watch out people! Its a rough market!

Quickfix repair?

Post by Windshield911 »

Anyone ever heard of them? They called me today saying they can give me customers and pay directly in my account within 3 days. I've never heard of them, just wanting to make sure this is no scam. They said they are like Harmon or Gerber, and our battling Safelite to help windshield repairmen. :?:

Many things have been discussed here. If you perform a simple quick Search on this forum, you would have found the below....

I have no experience with this company.
