Yes it's not cheap but like you say Screenman if you want quality you have to pay the price.

Why carry anything extra? Fingertip works as well as anything.

If you do use a cork, make sure it is clean as that little bit of grit in it will leave a mess before you know it.

I started using towels, didn't get crystal clear pit filler. Never have.
So, someone on here said to use your finger, because it can't run out!

It's changed from ok to awesome finish. I'm happy.
Perhaps it's to do with the technique? If you say you can't see a difference - try this way...
Matchstick head sized drop, rub circular motion for a couple of seconds, then with firm pressure and very fast, rub left and right until you can no longer hear/feel the grit.
Wipe and look - go try it
If the job doesn't mean more than the pay, it will never pay more.
