large repairs

Thanks desertstars

This crack looks 50% better than before but it still looks ugly. I'm a web designer/programmer and people always tell me that everything can be done. If there's a will, there's a way....and so on. That's why I thought this may also applies to wsr.

Next time I'll just know when to set my limits.

magicogar don't set limits on your practice repairs. If you are out doing work for a customer and you don't feel comfortable trying to repair the damage for whatever reason (too big, too old, customer is picky and you know they won't be happy with the results,...) don

If you use the proper tricks, you WILL have pressure and vacuum... at least tha't the idea anyway. IF it then does not work, at least you tried.

It's very rare to find damage that can't/shouldn't be repaired. There are those really nasty breaks that we need to just walk away from, as desertstars said.

If you find yourself in the middle of such a repair and realize it's a lost cause... and there's a good reason that it really is not repairable, or that it should be relpaced... tell the customer in a matter-of-fact way that you found XYZ issues and that you can't recomend a repair, etc... back out with authority. ;)
