What rotten luck!
I repaired a 6" crack on a 2005 Chevy Z71 last week. The guy had just bought it and was driving it home when he got hit by a rock. The repair looked great. We called his insurance agent (State Farm) and was told to wait until the guy recieved his policy on the new truck, then turn in the invoice. Post dated of course. A couple of days ago the new truck owner called me and said he got hit by another rock. A nice star just below the rear veiw mirror. What luck! Now my question. Should I tack this repair onto the first invoice? Since the repair has not officialy been documented. It would mean less money. Or, should I treat it as a whole different repair? Is there a limit to the amount of times a insurance company will pay for repairs to one windshield?
